DIALECT EDITING

Dialect editing ensures that the wording and style of your translated document match that of your target audience, no matter their location. If you have only one audience, and have communicated this to LCW, there will be no need for dialect editing, as the document will be prepared for that dialect. If, however, you would like your translation adapted for several different language regions, it is possible to have the original translation edited by multiple native-speakers, each from one of your desired regions.

EXAMPLE: Many Spanish terms used in Puerto Rico differ from those in Mexico, Spain, and Argentina. While generic terms can often be used and understood, the document may appear contrived or “foreign”. Editing each document creates a unique document specific to each region. Did you know that Federal Express has separate Airway Bills for American English and Queen’s English (for the U.K.)?
