Participants will learn about ways to be an LGBT ally, and why allies are so important.

    • Define ally and why allies matter
    • Review some data and statistics regarding the current state of the LGBT community in the U.S. and globally
    • Motivate allies and explore how to overcome obstacles straight allies typically face
    • Practice ally behaviors in real world scenarios, including "Speak Up" activities
    • Understand what makes an advocate, and how one can transition from from being an ally to an advocate
