From Microinequities to Inclusion

"From Microinequities to Inclusion" is a condensed course that covers some of the key concepts which are found in our Practicing Inclusion module. The module provides an introduction to the concept of microinequities: small, often subtle expressions of bias and exclusion. Relevant to employees of all levels, participation in this program can positively impact all internal and external interactions, regardless of industry. Participants explore microinequities across national cultures as well as cultures related to gender, ethnicity, language, generations, and sexual orientation, learning how to identify and respond to specific scenarios.

OBJECTIVES:

  • Understanding how microinequities surface and the possible outcomes if they’re ignored
  • Implementing techniques to limit engaging in microinequities, including how to use inclusive behaviors such as microaffirmations
  • Pinpointing what the individual learner can start doing, stop doing, and do differently
